Founder

Brad Standen founded The Whole Elephant Research Company in 2025 with a vision to revolutionize the research industry. With over a decade of experience in psychological research and a passion for innovation, Brad started WERC to create solutions to issues he faced in his research roles. Brad started his journey in research as part of a SPUR program while undertaking his undergraduate degree in psychology at Nottingham Trent University. This experience ignited his passion for research and he continued to pursue it through various avenues, including various research assistant positions, a master's degree in psychological research methods and a PhD that spanned behavioural, psychometric and neuroimaging research. This experience led him to secure a position as a technical specialist at NTU, responsible for helping academics achieve their research goals through experiment development, data analysis and innovative solutions to persistent problems. His experience in this role exposed him to the numerous inefficiencies and challenges faced by researchers, inspiring him to develop better tools and platforms.
